The JOE W. KING ORTHOPEDIC INSTITUTE was established in 1989 by the physicians of the Fondren Orthopedic Group L.L.P., a group practice of orthopedic subspecialists that is today housed within Texas Orthopedic Hospital. The INSTITUTE is named in honor of the late DR. JOE W. KING, who founded the physician group. Dr. King was a pioneer in orthopedics and sports medicine and was firmly committed to conducting research and providing education of the highest quality.
